The Aviva Stadium in Dublin is home to Irish rugby union and the Republic of Ireland football team. Located on the site of the historic Lansdowne Road stadium, the Aviva was officially opened in May 2010. The Aviva hosted the Europa League football final in 2011 and is now the venue for all home games of the national rugby and football teams. Special fixtures for Leinster Rugby are also sometimes played here. When not hosting rugby or football, the Aviva is a popular concert-stadium hosting some of the world’s biggest recording artists such as Madonna, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Phil Collins.
