Queen Anne Stakes Royal Ascot

Event summary

Royal Ascot is perhaps the most famous date in the racing calendar, as much so for the pomp and pageantry involved as the races themselves. First staged in 1711 when Queen Anne was the patron, Royal Ascot has a strong connection with the British Royal Family who always attends the event, arriving each day in a horse-drawn carriage.

The importance of Royal Ascot to the social calendar and the press coverage that the attendees always receive in the newspapers ensures that this event is never one that passes unnoticed. If the standard of horseracing isn’t enough to lure you to Royal Ascot then the thrill of people watching should!
