Mika Häkkinen is a retired Finnish racing driver, widely regarded as one of the most talented and exciting drivers in Formula 1 history. Häkkinen began his racing career in karting before making the leap to Formula 1 in 1991 with the Lotus team. He struggled in his early years but gradually improved, showcasing his exceptional driving skills. Häkkinen’s big break came in 1993 when he joined McLaren as a test driver, before securing a full-time seat with the team in 1994.
