In this dynamic position, you’ll be at the forefront of identifying and building partnerships within the travel and hospitality sectors across the UK and internationally. Your expertise in negotiating agreements will help create a network of top-tier travel suppliers, ensuring every client’s journey is seamless and memorable.

Beyond that, you’ll lead and inspire a team of travel consultants, while also driving sales of our exclusive travel services, making this a role that blends leadership, strategy, and hands-on sales.

To excel in this role, you’ll need to:
  • In addition to the Amadeus system, research options in relation to all travel including hotels / office space / parking and transport available for all the events sold by Corinthian Sports in all locations
  • Build an offering that creates a standardised approach for the travel consultants to sell with a view to meeting all client expectations
  • Create partnerships with hotel venues and transport providers to enable standard pricing options and service expectations
  • Manage a small team of travel consultants and monitor / drive performance expectations, ensuring key KPI’s are met
  • Work with Finance to ensure the invoicing process is seamless
  • Ensure reporting and ROI is provided monthly
Desirable experience includes:
  • An interest in sports and knowledge of the UK sporting calendar
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Xero or experience with a similar CRM software

What You’ll Do:

Operations, Events & Sales Support
The Role:

Join Corinthian Sports and be part of an exciting, fast-paced world of event planning! In this role, you’ll collaborate with our Operations, Events, and Sales Teams to help deliver exceptional experiences.

As an integral part of our team, you’ll work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure seamless operations and outstanding event execution.

Your role will involve the following key areas of responsibilities:

Pricing & Availability – Be the Go-To Resource
  • Conduct real-time research to gather pricing and availability for the Sales Team, ensuring accurate and detailed event & package information
  • Field inbound pricing and availability requests from the Sales Team across all offices, responding efficiently via phone and online platforms
Sales Support – Enabling Effective Prospecting
  • Assist the Sales Team in building and maintaining prospect and contact lists
  • Conduct market research to qualify leads and enhance sales prospecting efforts
  • Manage CRM data input across platforms such as Salesforce, Monday.com, and Xero
Office & Admin Support – Keeping Operations Running Smoothly
  • Ensure all offices have the necessary resources, stationery, and technology, managing orders and inventory as required
  • Handle inbound calls from the main phone line, assisting with enquiries and directing calls to the appropriate department
Event Coordination – Supporting Seamless Execution

The Process

We strive to keep our interview process straightforward and efficient, tailored to each specific role. Here’s an overview of the steps we take to get to know you better:

  3. Meeting with Your Prospective Line Manager
  4. Discussion with Senior Leadership (if applicable)

Step 1: Phone Interview with Talent Manager

During this meeting, we’ll assess how well your skills align with the job requirements, and just as importantly, we’ll explore whether our company is a good match for what you’re seeking in your next career move.
We’ll share our expectations for the role and provide all the relevant details about the position. Additionally, we’ll ensure you have the necessary information to prepare effectively for the upcoming stages of the interview process.

Step 2: Interview with Your Line Manager

Our interviews are focused on behavioral-based questions, where we’ll ask you to discuss real-life situations or challenges you’ve encountered. We avoid brain teasers, such as “How many buildings are in London?” because we’ve found they are unreliable predictors of success.

Here are some example questions:

  • Tell me about a time when you faced a problem with multiple possible solutions. What was the problem, how did you choose your approach, and what was the outcome?
  • Describe a situation where you took a risk, made a mistake, or failed. How did you respond, and what did you learn from it?
  • Share a time when you led a project.
  • How did you motivate a team or promote collaboration on a project?

Remember: make sure your responses are well-structured, backed by examples, and where applicable, supported by metrics. Whenever possible, refer to recent experiences.

How to Prepare

One common mistake candidates make when answering behavioral questions is providing responses without a clear structure. This can lead to rambling, missing the right context, or not delivering the intended answer.
