Job Title: Account Manager & New Business Develpoment Team Leader (Scotland)
Location: Glasgow, Scotland
Q: What’s your favourite Corinthian Sports event?
A: My favourite event would have to be when Scotland are playing at Hampden. Watching Scotland play under the floodlights at Hampden is an electrifying experience that I’ve personally enjoyed since I was very young. Every pass, tackle, and goal feel amplified under those Hampden floodlights, creating an incredible ambiance that captivates fans, home and away, and leaves them with a feeling of pride and unity. It’s an experience that stays with you long after the final whistle blows, leaving you craving more of the exhilarating energy that only Hampden can provide, and to be able to say that we now have our own branded Pegasus Lounge inside Scotland’s national stadium makes me extremely proud.
Q: What do you do outside of work?
A: I could go on and on about what I do outside of work, as a hobby of mine is to explore and try out new things, however I’ll try and keep this brief. I play Ice Hockey at least 2 times a week. I’ve been playing Ice Hockey since I was 11 years old and I’ve played competitively since I was 14 years old. When I began playing Ice Hockey, it wasn’t as widely watched and was even considered to be quite a different sport to play in this country. The main reason I actually started playing Ice Hockey in the first place, is because I wasn’t the greatest at Football… Who would’ve thought, that later down the line, I’d be the Vice Captain of the Corinthian Sports Glasgow’s 5-a-side Football team, who by the way, are currently sitting second on their league table!
Another one of my passions is DJ’ing. There’s something incredibly exhilarating about stepping behind the decks and playing to a live crowd. The energy of the audience, the flow of the music, and the synergy between the tracks create a beautiful atmosphere that’s hard to replicate. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and DJ’ing allows me to express myself and also express my love for it in the most dynamic way. I’m constantly exploring new styles, discovering fresh Artists, and delving into different genres, which keeps my sets vibrant and exciting. I’ve been given the most incredible opportunity allowing me to deliver a feeling and experience to people, which brings me immense joy and fulfilment, and I cherish every moment spent behind the turntables.
Last but not least, I’m a massive advocate for raising mental health awareness through my love for sport and fitness. Having experienced the impact of mental health issues firsthand within my friends, my family and also myself, I understand the importance of raising awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. In November just last year, I ran my first ever half marathon, raising funds for Movember’s group of Men’s mental health charities. Through fundraising, my aim is to channel my personal connection into positive action, providing a lifeline for those in need and fostering a community that encourages men to seek help without hesitation, shame or doubt that their situation is any less important than the men suffering round about them. Completing my marathon in 1 hour and 50 minutes, and a total of £670 raised, I am extremely proud of what I managed to achieve!
Q: What has your career journey been at Corinthian?
A: I first joined Corinthian in April 2022 as a New Business Executive in our Glasgow office. Since then, I’ve worked hard towards progressing my own skillset and being able to positively contribute to the team’s success.
I’ve managed to climb the ladder in terms of career progression in my time here. I mentioned previously that I started with Corinthain as a New Business Executive. From there, I worked towards a more senior role within the team and managed to get myself promoted to the role of Senior New Business Executive within a fairly short timeframe. After a few months of hard work and determination, I was then over the moon to find that I’d actually been promoted again, to an Account Manager, which for myself was a huge goal and so a massive achievement for me personally. Since being promoted to an Account Manager, I’ve recently taken on the role of New Business Development Team leader, where I plan to build a culture based around teamwork and creativity which I hope will lead us to great success within our extremely talented team.
Q: Tell us more about your team and your current role
A: In our Glasgow office, I work very closely alongside our team of New Business Executives, whose main aim is to try and win new clients and engage with prospects to hopefully welcome them to the business and one day get them along to one of our award-winning Pegasus Lounges!
Alongside developing our New Business team, I also manage some of the companies’ key accounts, whilst still winning new business accounts and contributing to the overall development of the company and delivering our clients and prospects the service in which we at Corinthian pride ourselves on.
Q: What are the things you like about working at Corinthian?
A: Working for Corinthian has been an absolute pleasure for me, largely due to the exceptional work culture where teamwork and collaboration is the key to success. The fast-paced environment keeps me excited and engaged, constantly challenging me to develop and adapt my skillset. Furthermore, Corinthian’s continuous growth fills me again with excitement and anticipation for the future.

Interview Process & Tips:
The Process
We strive to keep our interview process straightforward and efficient, tailored to each specific role. Here’s an overview of the steps we take to get to know you better:
- Online Application
- Phone Screening with Talent Manager
- Meeting with Your Prospective Line Manager
- Discussion with Senior Leadership (if applicable)
After you apply through LinkedIn or on our website, the team will review your application.
Step 1: Phone Interview with Talent Manager
During this meeting, we’ll assess how well your skills align with the job requirements, and just as importantly, we’ll explore whether our company is a good match for what you’re seeking in your next career move.
We’ll share our expectations for the role and provide all the relevant details about the position. Additionally, we’ll ensure you have the necessary information to prepare effectively for the upcoming stages of the interview process.
Step 2: Interview with Your Line Manager
Our interviews are focused on behavioral-based questions, where we’ll ask you to discuss real-life situations or challenges you’ve encountered. We avoid brain teasers, such as “How many buildings are in London?” because we’ve found they are unreliable predictors of success.
Here are some example questions:
- Tell me about a time when you faced a problem with multiple possible solutions. What was the problem, how did you choose your approach, and what was the outcome?
- Describe a situation where you took a risk, made a mistake, or failed. How did you respond, and what did you learn from it?
- Share a time when you led a project.
- How did you motivate a team or promote collaboration on a project?
Remember: make sure your responses are well-structured, backed by examples, and where applicable, supported by metrics. Whenever possible, refer to recent experiences.
How to Prepare
One common mistake candidates make when answering behavioral questions is providing responses without a clear structure. This can lead to rambling, missing the right context, or not delivering the intended answer.
To help structure your responses, we recommend using the STAR Method.
Do’s:
- Be on time
- Dress smart
- Use the Star Method to answer to the questions
- Research our company
- Read again the job description
- Ask questions to your interviewers
- Relax & Be yourself
Don’ts:
- Don’t arrive late without letting us know
- Try to be accurate in your examples
Equality & Diversity
At Corinthian, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment that values equality and diversity, where everyone can contribute and have their voices heard. This means hiring and developing talent across all races, ethnicities, religions, age groups, sexual orientations, gender identities and abilities.
