Manchester Super Giants Crowned Champions of The Hundred 2026

What a summer it’s been. Manchester Super Giants have been crowned Men’s champions of The Hundred 2026, seeing off Trent Rockets in a dramatic final at Lord’s – and for everyone at Corinthian Sports, this victory feels personal.

As a proud long-term partner of Lancashire Cricket and hospitality provider at Emirates Old Trafford, we’ve spent the season welcoming guests into The Pegasus Lounge and watching this team’s journey unfold, match by match, towards a first title in their history. Few things capture what we love about live sport quite like watching a story build all season and pay off on the biggest stage.

A New Era Begins

The 2026 season marked a fresh chapter for the club, with the former Manchester Originals stepping out under their new identity for the first time. Under the leadership of England star Jos Buttler and the guidance of Australian coaching great Justin Langer, the Super Giants set out their stall early, establishing themselves as genuine contenders in one of the most competitive campaigns The Hundred has seen.

Emirates Old Trafford was, once again, at the heart of the action, hosting Birmingham Phoenix, Trent Rockets, Welsh Fire and Sunrisers Leeds across a home campaign that gave supporters plenty to shout about. One performance stood out above the rest: a commanding nine-wicket win over Welsh Fire, powered by unbeaten half-centuries from Buttler and New Zealand’s Tim Seifert, that put the Super Giants firmly in the mix for the knockouts.

That form carried them into the Eliminator against Sunrisers Leeds, where Manchester turned in one of the standout batting displays of the tournament. Paul Walter’s blistering 80 off 46 balls, paired with Heinrich Klaasen’s explosive 63 from just 26 deliveries, took the Super Giants to 186 – a new record total in a Men’s Hundred Eliminator. Josh Tongue then led the bowling effort with 4-26, sealing a 20-run win and a final against table-toppers Trent Rockets.

2026 Champions at Lord’s

Sunday 16th August 2026 now holds a permanent place in the club’s history. At the home of cricket, Manchester delivered a complete all-round performance to claim their first Men’s Hundred title with a five-wicket win.

Trent Rockets posted 158 first, built on contributions from Aneurin Donald, Lewis Gregory and Mitchell Santner. But Manchester’s bowlers kept the target within reach throughout, with Noor Ahmad the pick of the attack on 3-33, well supported by two wickets from Sonny Baker.

Then came the moment of the tournament. Tim Seifert produced a sensational 72 from just 38 balls – seven sixes, a half-century in 23 deliveries – and turned the chase decisively in Manchester’s favour. There was late tension after his dismissal, but the Super Giants held firm, and it was Liam Dawson who struck the winning six with two balls to spare, sparking scenes of pure celebration among players and supporters alike.

From a brand-new identity to champions in their very first season, it’s hard to imagine a better story.
