The Hospitality Experience Inside Emirates Old Trafford’s £75M New Development

Being the sole hospitality provider at Emirates Old Trafford's new facility, see how we took cricket hospitality to the next level!

July 27, 2023

Being the sole hospitality providers inside Emirates Old Trafford’s brand-new facility, we recently welcomed cricket fans from around the world to join us in our brand-new lounge for the much-anticipated Ashes 2023. Today, we wanted to show you around our exclusive hospitality suite at Old Trafford and what makes it the most premium hospitality suite in world cricket.

What Does the Pegasus Lounge Look Like Inside Emirates Old Trafford?

Having the newest hospitality facility in world cricket, it is fair to say that the Pegasus Lounge looked fantastic. The floral decorations inside the suite, accompanied by the natural light provided by the glass-fronted viewing terrace, the setting inside the suite helped create a relaxed environment where our guests were able to roam freely around the suite as they pleased whilst enjoying quality face-to-face time with their guests!

Operations Assistant at Corinthian Sports, Olivia van Meeteren, said:

The Pegasus Lounge at Emirates Old Trafford is easily our best-looking facility – the natural light, the decorations around the lounge, it throws away all of the norms that you would get with your traditional cricket hospitality – it’s different but in a good way.

What are the New Seats Like at Emirates Old Trafford?

Had you kept a close eye on Sky Sports Cricket or Sky Sports News over the duration of the 4th test, you may have spotted a few rows of pink-padded seats…

If you couldn’t tell already, those were the padded seats on our glass-fronted viewing terrace in the Pegasus Lounge! As for the views from the padded seats, they were arguably the best at the ground. Guests were also able to take their drinks to-and-from the lounge with our cup holders coming in handy. Padded seats, beers and cricket – it goes hand-in-hand!

Who was in the New Hospitality Suite?

With The Ashes being one of cricket’s most-coveted tournaments, it was only right to bring some of the biggest names in world cricket along for the debut of our brand new lounge…

So, we invited along ex-England internationals such as Monty Panesar, Phillip DeFreitas, Jonathan Trott and David Gower – though the former is most known for his legendary work with Sky Sports Cricket!

However, with most of our legendary guests coming from England, we decided to invite Australia’s greatest fast-bowler of all time, Glenn McGrath.

As you can see, our guests had a fantastic time meeting some of crickets’ biggest names!

What Else was Inside the New Hospitality Suite?

As part of our hospitality offerings for The Ashes, we decided to make use of our spacious viewing terrace by allowing our guests to enjoy an exclusive, Virtual Reality cricket experience!

The interactive game went down a treat, with the highest-scoring guests winning a signed cricket bat courtesy of Lancashire Cricket.

On top of that, we opened up our terrace bar once play got underway – meaning that our guests didn’t have to venture back inside the lounge to get their drinks. When it came to ease of access, the Pegasus Lounge hospitality experience at Emirates Old Trafford came out on top.

What did our Guests Think?

As expected, our guests had a fantastic hospitality experience with us across The Ashes. Despite the rain holding up play on Day 4, the suites ambience and all-round vibe made it a fantastic day even for those who don’t enjoy cricket.

To make up for the lack of cricket, we decided to bring in the legendary Paul Borkowski – who certainly knows how to lift the mood of any room!

Owen O’Neill, Site Manager at Next, said:

We had a fantastic day at Old Trafford for the 1st Day of the 4th Test. The setup, hospitality, service and hosting were absolutely first-class. We had a brilliant day!

Malcolm Harris, Director of Saradan Design and Management Ltd. told us:

We got a great view, the food was excellent as well as the venue itself. Top-notch guest speakers and England getting wickets – what more could you have asked for?!

Our favourite testimonial so far has been:

My party had a fabulous day in the Pegasus Lounge at the Emirates Old Trafford for day 2 of the Ashes Test in Manchester. From the fascinating talk from Glenn McGrath, Phil DeFreitas & Monty Panesar before play to the excellent lunch & tea provided. We were thoroughly well looked after during the day by the Pegasus Lounge team and the 9 (!) hours absolutely flew by – We will definitely see you all again soon!

Pegasus Lounge Guests

Whilst we’re potentially coming from a side of bias, we have to say that in all of our years of experience – we firmly believe we are offering the world’s most premium cricket hospitality package at Emirates Old Trafford.

Putting it all together, the look of the lounge, the setting, the views, the guests and, of course, the selection of beers – it is hard to compare our new hospitality lounge at Emirates Old Trafford with any of our other hospitality events simply because of how new it is!

With the IT20s heading to Emirates Old Trafford in mid-September, why not see for yourself and invite yourself and a few guests into the Pegasus Lounge and experience it all for yourself? View all of our cricketing events here!
