Alex Cuthbert

A powerful presence on the wing, Alex Cuthbert has earned a reputation as one of the most dynamic backs of his generation. Combining blistering pace, physicality and an instinctive eye for the try line, the Welsh international enjoyed a distinguished career at the highest level, representing both club and country with distinction.

After developing his game at Hartpury College, Cuthbert’s professional career took off when he joined Cardiff Blues in 2011. His explosive running style and ability to deliver in the biggest moments quickly established him as one of the game’s most dangerous finishers, earning him his first international cap for Wales later that same year.

Cuthbert went on to become a key figure during one of the most successful periods in Welsh rugby history, playing an instrumental role in back-to-back Six Nations Grand Slam triumphs in 2012 and 2013. Renowned for his powerful carries and big-match performances, he scored some of the most memorable tries of his international career against the world’s leading rugby nations.

In 2018, Cuthbert joined the Exeter Chiefs, where he continued to excel at domestic level. His experience, leadership and attacking prowess helped the club secure the Gallagher Premiership title in 2020, further cementing his legacy as one of the game’s most accomplished wingers.
