A Brief Bio

Alistair Hargreaves is a former professional rugby union player from South Africa, known for his impressive career as a lock. Born on April 29, 1986, in Durban, South Africa, Hargreaves rose through the ranks of South African rugby, representing the national under-19 and under-21 teams before making his senior debut for the Sharks in Super Rugby. His leadership skills and consistent performance earned him a spot in South Africa’s national team, the Springboks, where he earned four caps between 2010 and 2012.

In 2012, Hargreaves moved to England to join Saracens, a top Premiership Rugby club, where he quickly became a central figure. Appointed captain in 2014, he led Saracens to multiple Premiership titles and a European Champions Cup victory. Known for his strategic acumen and resilience, Hargreaves was respected both as a leader and a player. After a series of concussions, he retired in 2016, pivoting to a career in business.

Today, Hargreaves is a co-founder of Wolfpack Lager, leveraging his leadership experience to build a successful brand within the competitive UK craft beer market.
