Guenther Steiner
A Brief Bio
Guenther Steiner is a renowned motorsport executive, celebrated for his leadership in Formula 1. Steiner’s career began in rallying, where he worked as a mechanic before advancing to a management role with the Prodrive World Rally Team. His talents soon caught the attention of Formula 1, leading him to join Jaguar Racing in 2001 as Managing Director.
After Jaguar, Steiner transitioned to Red Bull Racing, contributing to the team’s early development before returning to the U.S. to work with Red Bull’s NASCAR team. In 2014, American businessman Gene Haas recruited Steiner to helm Haas F1 Team as Team Principal. Under his guidance, Haas F1 quickly established itself as a competitive force in the sport.
Known for his candid demeanor and pragmatic approach, Steiner has become a beloved figure in F1, particularly highlighted by his appearances in the Netflix series “Drive to Survive.” His leadership continues to influence the dynamics and competitive spirit of Formula 1.
